My approach is down-to-earth and very practical. Counseling should feel safe. I believe it is important to feel comfortable and secure with a therapist. It is my responsibility to provide that environment for my clients. I have a passion for people and a desire to meet them where they are. I have a Master’s of Science in Counseling and am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in California.
I enjoy working to strengthen and support individuals and families. Counseling can provide you and your family with insight to move through difficulties more productively. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety or just need someone to support you through a difficult season in life, as your therapist, I can help you find your own individual path to healing and growth.
I have provided mental health services to at-risk teens and counseling to families in need within various healthcare systems. My work with teen clients is very dear to me. I enjoy getting to know and understand what motivates them for success. Watching those in the teen years meet personal goals is very rewarding for me. Through family therapy, I can facilitate bridging the relational gap between teens and parents.
I created and managed a community bereavement program for children, teens and families. Losing a loved one impacts everyone differently. I work with parents to address the topics of death, grief and loss in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for their children. Bereavement is a journey that benefits with patience and support. Counseling can provide that.
In addition to my private practice, I have provided crisis mental health counseling to individuals of all ages in the greater Sacramento area. When families are faced with crisis with a loved one, it can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. I help those working towards stability while helping family understand what is supportive and helpful.
